84% less tourists in Cyprus last September

In September this year, only 87 334 tourists had a rest in Cyprus. Of course, this is almost 84% less than last year, when the same month on the beaches of the island sunbathing 524,707 people.

For the period from January to September 2020 in the Republic of Cyprus was visited by 512,184 travelers, last year this figure exceeded 3 million 260 thousand people.

If you look at the statistics by country, in September 2020 compared to the same month in 2019 the number of tourists from England decreased by 71.0%, from Germany. By 35.3%, from Greece – by 63.2%, from Denmark – by 41.4%, 77.8% less tourists came from Poland and 78.8% from Switzerland.
