People infected with coronavirus remain dangerous to others for nine days, Melita Vuinovich, a representative of the World Health Organization (WHO) in Russia, told Rossiyskaya Gazeta.
Vuinovich explained that this refers to those who spread the live and active virus. “According to preliminary studies, most patients are infectious only for 8-9 days after the onset of symptoms,” the WHO representative said.
She added, however, that this period may be longer in those who carry COVID-19 severely.
