According to the Decree of the Minister of Health of Cyprus No. 39 of 26 August 2020, it will not be possible to gather more than 50 people for christening or wedding without special permission from the Ministry.

The Ministry of Health has clarified the new document:

The organization of a lunch/dinner for a christening ceremony or a wedding with more than 50 participants is allowed, provided that the organizers of the event submit a request to that effect and receive the approval of the Ministry of Health.

To obtain approval, documentary proofs (invitations etc.) are required and must be sent to [email protected] with the date of the event, number of guests, and the total area of the room where the event will be held.

Permission can be obtained provided that all medical protocols governing weddings and baptisms in catering facilities are observed.
