Turkish drill ship “Yavuz” en route to Cyprus’ EEZ
Turkish drill ship “Yavuz” set sail on Sunday 19 April, from the Turkish port of Taşucu, in the country’s southern coast, en route to an unauthorized drilling target in Cyprus’ exclusive economic zone (EEZ), while a Turkish frigate accompanies the vessel. Ankara has issued a Navtex covering the area of Block 6 and 7 of the island’s EEZ from Monday April 20 until July 18.
