An accident involving an ambulance occurred in Paphos at around 6pm the previous day – with three people hospitalised as a result of the accident, CNA reports.
The 70-year-old, leaving the car park near a bakery on Anavargou Avenue, did not share the road with the ambulance, despite the fact that the ambulance had its lights and horn on. Both vehicles suffered serious damage – in particular, the pensioner had to be extracted from the driver’s seat with the help of rescuers and their special tools.
Three people were taken to Paphos Central Hospital: the perpetrator of the accident, the 37-year-old ambulance driver and the 32-year-old nurse. Their lives are reportedly out of danger.
