Russian President Vladimir Putin and Cypriot President Nicos Anastasiades held a telephone conversation today, July 30, where they discussed the need to improve the legal framework in the financial and investment sector, according to a press release of the Russian side.
“Topical issues of Russian-Cypriot cooperation in various areas were discussed. Emphasis was placed on the need to improve the legal framework of bilateral relations, including in the financial-investment sphere. The mutual interest in further strengthening of trade, economic and humanitarian ties between the two countries was expressed” the document says.
Special attention was paid to regional issues, including the situation in the Eastern Mediterranean and options for its settlement.
