Malta will move from category A to category C as early as next Thursday. Japan will move from A to B and Spain from B to C. Australia will be placed in category C.
The new list of countries from August 20 will look like this:

Passengers arriving from category A countries are not required to submit a negative COVID-19 test:

Passengers arriving from countries in this category must pass the Coronavirus test within 72 hours before departing for Cyprus and carry a negative COVID-19 result.
EU Member States:

- 6) The Netherlands
- 7) Poland
- 8) Portugal

Small states:

Category C
Entry into the Republic of Cyprus from countries in this group is allowed only for certain categories of citizens who are entitled to enter the country.
Travellers from category C countries may take a COVID-19 test on arrival in Cyprus or have a negative Coronavirus test at least 72 hours before departure.
Self-isolation within 14 days is mandatory for all those coming from Category C countries.
