The Ministry of Health announced on Wednesday that citizens coming to the Republic of Cyprus from Category C countries must pass the COVID-19 molecular test at their own expense 48 hours before the end of compulsory self-insulation.
The Ministry of Health announced yesterday that as part of the Government’s strategy to fight the Coronavirus Pandemic and in accordance with the Minister of Health’s Regulation No. 37 of 12 August 2020, citizens coming to Cyprus from Category C countries must pass a COVID-19 molecular test 48 hours before the end of compulsory self-isolation.
The result of the laboratory test should be sent to [email protected].
The self-insulation will only be considered complete if a negative result of the repeated laboratory test is obtained, the authority stresses.
The only acceptable test method is RT-RCR. The maximum price per test is 85 euros.
We remind you that only certain categories of citizens are allowed to enter the Republic of Cyprus from Category C countries, and they can choose – to take the diagnostic test for COVID-19 on arrival in Cyprus or have RT-PCR COVID-19 certificate with a negative result at least 72 hours before departure to the Republic.
If their stay in the country exceeds 4 days, the regime of compulsory self-insulation must last 14 days.
