In the match of the 28th round of the Greek Championship, AEK defeated OFI. The game was held without fans at the “Theodoros Vardinoyannis” stadium in Heraklion. The game ended with the score 2-0 in favor of the guests.
On 42 minutes of the first half the goal was scored by former Rubin Kazan striker Marko Leviya. And after the break Daniele Verde increased the Athens team`s advantage. Thanks to this victory, the club moved to the 2nd place in the standings. The home team with 34 points took the 6th place.
In just 20 games under the guidance of ex-coach of “Spartak” AEK earned 13 victories. Another 6 games ended in a draw and one was a defeat.
So far, Olympiacos is leading the Greek championship, the team has collected 69 points. AEK has 55 points, PAOK has 53.
In the next round AEK will meet with Aris on its home field, while OFI will play with PAOK. Both matches will take place on June 20.
