Parliament of Cyprus will consider a bill regulating the work of body-art studios in the country. According to the document, tattoo parlors will not have underage customers and artists illegal immigrants, reports CNA.
Children under 16 will only be able to visit body-art studios when accompanied by their parents, and the only service they’ll be able to get there is ear piercing. Teenagers between the ages of 16 and 18 will receive tattoos and piercings only with the written consent of the patient and his parents, and adults will have to bring a session with them.
Besides after passing of the law in the country there will be only legal tattoo salons. They will be able to work only certified dermatologists and piercing masters, and they will have to comply with the strict sanitary rules.
Finally, the document introduces a ban on blood donation for six months after tattooing or piercing.
