In Paphos, on Poseidonos avenue, the police chased a suspicious bicyclist last night. The first thing that caught the patrol’s attention was that when they saw him, he threw his bike and tried to escape.
Trying to break away from the pursuers, a 30-year-old man jumped from a height of six meters into an underground parking lot. Although he hurt his leg, this did not stop him – it slowed him down and eventually he was detained.
During the following search he had three cell phones, a knife and tools for breaking and entering. The man couldn’t give satisfactory explanations on this occasion and he was arrested.
The medical examination at the general hospital showed that the detainee had a broken heel. He was given the necessary assistance and was handed over to the police again.
