Starting from October 9 social cards will no longer be valid in transportation for schoolchildren, Muscovites over 65 years old and persons suffering from chronic diseases.
Restrictions for schoolchildren will last till October 18, and for vulnerable categories of Muscovites – till October 28.
Mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin announced about new measures to curb COVID-19 in the capital of Russia on his Twitter page.
According to the mayor, such decision is connected with peak indicators of cononavirus morbidity – the number of hospitalized people has exceeded one thousand during the last day.
In connection with this, two backup hospitals were opened in Sokolniki and Krylatsky.
Also, in the near future, the sale of tickets to theaters, concert halls, museums and other cultural and leisure facilities will be converted exclusively into electronic form. Usual ticket offices will not work.
Earlier, the mayor of Moscow urged employers to transfer at least 30% of staff to a remote work mode.
