Rescuers pulled a seven-year-old child out of a well about four metres deep in the Zakaki area of Limassol last weekend, SigmaLive reported.
The boy was in a field with his grandfather and fell into a hole apparently left by utilities after the demolition of a house that used to stand on the site. Emergency personnel soon arrived on the scene and retrieved the child from the well. As luck would have it, the boy was practically unharmed, but as a precaution he was still examined by medics at the Central City Hospital.
The police are clarifying all the circumstances of the incident.
