Police in Nicosia found and arrested the owner of a drug courier drone
Police in Nicosia has identified and arrested the owner of a drug delivery drone, which was ‘hijacked’ in January by a vigilant passerby, SigmaLive reports.
A 27-year-old resident of a village in the province was arrested on a court order and police officers were led to him by an investigation. The man came to the police’s attention in late February when a search of his house turned up a loaded pistol, 1.5g of white powder and two packages of cannabis, weighing around 25g.
Another man, a 45-year-old resident of Larnaca province, was detained in the same case. He was found in possession of less than a gram of “weed”. The investigation is ongoing.
