In Limassol, a cafe in the city was caught at work in violation of health ministry decrees – police dispersed from it football fans who had gathered to watch a match, CNA reports.
Law enforcers paid a visit to the establishment on Sunday afternoon, following a tip from neighbours who reported non-compliance with measures against the spread of the coronavirus. Catering establishments, according to the authorities, can now only operate in takeaway and delivery mode – but the cafe was open and had 12 people in it watching soccer.
The administration of the cafe was fined extrajudicially 750 euros, and the visitors were fined 300 euros each.
