Two house parties and one restaurant party were broken up last weekend by Limassol police, all of which were in breach of health ministry decrees issued as part of the fight against COVID-19.
In the village of Moni the law enforcers found a restaurant serving customers with three people – recalling that now the catering is only allowed to operate in a takeaway and delivery mode. The customers were fined €300 each, while the owner was fined €750.
In addition, on “signals” from neighbours, law enforcers visited two house parties on the occasion of birthdays, holding which is now, again, outside the law. In Mutaiak, four adults and five children attended such an event, while in Limassol, eight adults were present. All adult offenders were fined €300.
Three betting shops – two in Limassol and one in Paphos – were also fined because they had football fans watching the matches.
