The Council of Ministers, at a meeting on Wednesday, October 7, decided to grant a special permit to enter the Republic of Cyprus to domestic workers and agricultural and animal husbandry workers from countries outside the A and B categories.
Applications for entry and work permits are submitted by employers to the Department of Population and Immigration.
Once the application is approved, the employer will be able to obtain the appropriate permit. This means that he must pay a fee that will cover part of the quarantine cost within 14 days of arrival, as well as the cost of two laboratory tests.
The fee may be paid either by the district office’s accounting department, the citizen service center, or the Department of Population and Immigration.
To enter the Republic of Cyprus, applicants must also obtain a special online entry permit, which is issued on the website CyprusFlightPass. It will be issued on the basis of an entry permit from the Department of Population and Immigration, and a receipt of the fee must be enclosed.
