American rock musician John Bon Jovi is selling his High Point Estate on Navesink River Road in Middleton, New Jersey, an exclusive residential area. Renowned architect Robert A. Stern, who was dean of the Yale School of Architecture from 1998 to 2016, designed the house in 1999. The building is more like a French chateau, which is very unusual for the region. Architectural details include high ceilings, hand-painted Venetian plaster, parquet floors, French balconies, high and wide multi-layer windows, solid wood entrance doors, and aslate roof with copper gutters. The house, which has six bedrooms and seven bathrooms, is around 1,600 m2, and is situated on a plot of more than six hectares. It offers views of the Navesink River, which flows into the Atlantic Ocean. The property includes a guest house with three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a living room and a kitchen. Inside there is a music studio, a cinema, a heated pool and a private pub with a fireplace and a bar. On the ground floor there are garages. The asking price is US$20 million.
