Cyprus to hand over fugitive robber and thief to Bulgaria
Cypriot police arrested a 49-year-old man in Paphos province on a European warrant issued by Bulgaria, where the detainee had been sentenced to five years in prison for property offences – the Reporter.
Bulgarian judicial authorities found the man guilty of robbery and theft committed on June 19, 2015. He was sentenced to five years in prison – but chose to abscond abroad.
Following his arrest, the process of extraditing the offender to Bulgarian authorities was initiated.
