“The hunting season should start on Sunday without any expected changes,” said the head of the Cyprus Hunting Federation, Elias Pekris, on Thursday.
He added that the hunting season will start on August 23 and will last until the end of February.
From Sunday hunters will be able to hunt doves, and in early November – rabbits and partridges.
Earlier, the Forestry Department appealed to the hunters and called for special caution in the forests – not to make fires or throw cigarette butts.
