The Cyprus Post Office has officially warned of upcoming delivery delays due to coronavirus – we are talking about both incoming and outgoing letters and parcels.

Due to the spread of infection airlines have reduced flights to and from Cyprus, and therefore expected delay in the arrival of mail, as well as problems with outgoing mail. Thus, the German post informed Cypriot colleagues that at the airport of Frankfurt accumulated a lot of mail and as an alternative, it will be sent by sea – slower.

The situation is expected to get even more complicated due to the Christmas and New Year holidays – a traditionally hot time for postal services around the world.
