The new strains of COVID-19 have done their work causing grave concern at the European level – increased precautions are being introduced even for passengers from “safe” countries. From Saturday, February 6, a new regulation will come into force in Cyprus – compulsory self-isolation for three days followed by PCR-testing for coronavirus for all those arriving from A and B countries. They will have to do the tests at their own expense, according to CNA.
In addition, those arriving from Group B countries will still have to carry a COVID-19 certificate no older than 72 hours.
Nothing will change for the group C countries – Cyprus is available only to citizens of the republic, foreigners with residence permits, diplomats and those who have a special permit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Upon arrival, they must spend two weeks in self-isolation.
The authorities remind: all those arriving within 24 hours before departure must fill out the online pass CyprusFlightPass.
