Cyprus has updated its list of countries and now has 51 countries

The Unit of Epidemiological Monitoring and Control of Infectious Diseases in Cyprus again revised and updated the list of countries whose residents are allowed to enter the territory of the Republic of Cyprus.

Category A

Member States of the European Union:
1) Austria, 2) Germany, 3) Denmark, 4) Greece, 5) Estonia, 6) Ireland, 7) Latvia, 8) Lithuania, 9) Malta, 10) Hungary, 11) Poland, 12) Slovakia, 13) Slovenia, 14) Finland

Members of the Schengen area:
1) Switzerland, 2) Iceland, 3) Liechtenstein, 4) Norway

Third countries:
1) Japan, 2) Canada, 3) New Zealand, 4) South Korea

Passengers arriving from A-category countries are not required to submit a negative COVID-19 test and undergo self-insulation.

Category B

Member States of the European Union:
1) Belgium, 2) Bulgaria, 3) France, 4) Spain, 5) Italy, 6) Croatia, 7) Netherlands, 8) Czech Republic

Small states:
1) Andorra, 2) Monaco, 3) Vatican City, 4) San Marino

Third countries:
1) Algeria, 2) Australia, 3) Georgia, 4) Morocco, 5) Rwanda, 6) Thailand, 7) Tunisia, 8) Uruguay, 9) China

Passengers arriving from B-category countries will be required to undergo laboratory testing at least 72 hours prior to departure and have a certificate confirming a negative virus test result.

At this stage, all passengers are allowed to undergo a COVID-19 molecular test at entry into the Republic of Cyprus from 23 July. The cost of the test will be paid by the traveller. In addition, all arriving passengers will be required to stay at home for self-insulation until the test results are available.

Category C

Member States of the European Union:
1) Portugal, 2) Sweden, 3) Luxembourg, 4) Romania 5) United Kingdom

Third countries:
Serbia, 2) Montenegro

Under the Infectious Diseases Decree (No. 30) of 2020, entry into the Republic from category C countries is permitted only for certain categories of citizens.

Arrivals from these countries must spend 14 days on self-isolation in addition to the tests.

It should be stressed that all passengers, regardless of the category of country, must apply for an electronic permit – CyprusFlightPass (https://cyprusflightpass.gov.cy/) within 24 hours before departure.

The Ministry of Health also warns that random COVID-19 tests will be conducted at Cyprus airports.

The new classification of countries will come into effect from 23 July.
