Students of primary and secondary schools and lyceums of Cyprus will not return to school on January 7 – the relevant decree was issued by the Ministry of Health. The reason for this is a sharp increase in the incidence of coronavirus.
According to the document, from 6:00 am on December 30 until 5:00 am on January 10, private and public elementary and secondary schools and universities switch to distance learning. At the same time, students may attend laboratory classes if it is necessary for exams.
If the epidemiological situation does not change and, accordingly, no additional decrees are issued, students will be able to return to classes on January 11.
