A covid dissident was arrested in Nicosia region for assaulting police officers in a shopping mall – a woman attacked the officers when they urged her to comply with sanitary rules during the pandemic.

The lady attracted the attention of the policemen by the fact that she was not wearing a protective mask. She took the attention negatively, refused to put on her mask and provide her identity for verification, and then started insulting the police officers and got into a fight.

Law enforcers detained the brawler. She was later charged in writing with contempt of the law, as well as receiving two extrajudicial sentences for violating the decrees of the Ministry of Health (not wearing a mask and not sending an SMS to leave the house).
