On Thursday, September 3, the strike of public transport drivers in Nicosia and Larnaca ended after reaching an agreement with trade unions and staff.
Employees of the company providing public transport services in two Cypriot cities announced a strike on September 1.
Trade unions reported that the company had not fulfilled its salary promises to the workers, adding that many other problems remained unresolved.
On Thursday morning, the Ministry of Labor said the disagreement between the two sides had been resolved after long negotiations and bus service had resumed both in Larnaca on Wednesday and in Nicosia on Thursday.
The company apologized for the inconvenience to passengers and added that it had tried to resolve the issue from the beginning.
