On the morning of January 5, the body of a young man was found in the Kouri River near the village of Agios Georgios near Limassol. The body has been identified as that of 26-year-old Adamos Adam, who was reported missing on December 31, reports SigmaLive.
A vigorous search for the missing man had been underway in the area in recent days, which eventually yielded a sad result. The young man was found dead in the bed of the Kuri River. According to Michalis Muskalis, a representative of the Limassol Rescue Service, the searchers first found some items that belonged to Adamos, and a hundred meters downstream his body as well.
The police do not yet have an answer as to whether the man’s death was an accident or a homicide. An autopsy was performed directly at the scene, but the results are not yet available, so law enforcement officers accept both as probable.
