Last night in Limassol, a car parked outside the home of a 40-year-old lawyer blew up in the Ekali neighbourhood, CNA reported.
The explosion happened around 4 a.m. and was accompanied by a fire that completely destroyed the car – according to police, it was uninsured. In addition, the explosion knocked out the glass in the house.
An explosive device, planted by unknown persons under the lawyer’s car, was defined to be the cause of the accident. It is not yet clear whether the incident is related to the professional activities of the man. An investigation is under way.
