In Greek Thessaloniki last weekend, the police punished an 18-year-old Cypriot woman for having organized a birthday party, despite existing measures to limit the spread of coronavirus.
The party, with its deafening music, continued until the morning and caused legitimate discontent among neighbors, who eventually complained to the police about the disturbance of public order. Arriving attire counted seven more people in the room, in addition to the birthday girl.
The girl was fined 3000 euros as the organizer of the event, while the rest had to pay fines for breaking the curfew.
Recall that Thessaloniki, like the whole of Northern Greece, the second wave of the pandemic affected particularly seriously, so there are strict restrictions on the collection of companies, events and movement in the streets.
