British company DnaNudge, the developer of the express test for coronavirus CovidNudge, which is now used in the National Health Service, announced the launch of a new product. This is the DnaNudge COVID Bubble Test, a consumer test that allows for high-precision group testing of up to 10 people with no obvious symptoms of coronavirus infection on COVID-19.
DnaNudge CEO and renowned Cypriot-born scientist Chris Toumazou commented that the purpose of this low-cost, consumer-friendly test is to facilitate the detection of asymptomatic COVID-19 carriers. This should help control the spread of coronavirus infection and ultimately bring the world closer to a return to normal.
One DnaNudge COVID Bubble Test cartridge can test up to ten people simultaneously – at work, with friends, family, etc. The price of the test is 10 pounds sterling per person, the results can be obtained within an hour and a half. DnaNudge COVID testing service is available specifically for people without symptoms who want to see if they are contagious – for example, to confirm their status before traveling abroad.
For now, the express test is only available by appointment at DnaNudge’s flagship store in Covent Garden, London, but the company plans to expand its distribution capabilities in the coming weeks.
