A week ago, the Cyprus Children’s Fund (CCF) announced that 18 students had been selected and would receive scholarships worth $42,000.
The CCF receives a large number of applications each year. Scholarship committee members are always faced with the difficult choice of selecting the most worthy.
The Children’s Fund traditionally provides scholarships to students of Greek origin studying full-time at U.S. colleges/universities. Applications can be made up to April 30.
In an official statement the president of the Children’s Fund of Cyprus Nicos Zittis said: “Despite the very difficult circumstances surrounding the pandemic, we are still able to provide a tangible amount of scholarship funding again this year. Scholarships will be awarded to a group of young people with outstanding academic achievements and talents. We were very impressed by their applications and feel that by awarding them our scholarships, we contribute to the development of very capable and progressive leaders of the future world. Congratulations to them all!”
