Police have prosecuted a local man in Paphos for stealing hunting dogs from the owner of a livestock farm, the Reporter reports.
The breeder complained to law enforcers that dogs had been repeatedly missing from his farm in the Petra tou Romiou area in recent months. Some of the animals he kept on his property belonged to his friends – so he set up video surveillance near the cages together with them. This, together with the police, made it possible to identify the alleged offender – it turned out to be a 50-year-old resident of Geroskipou.
Two stolen dogs were reportedly found in the suspect’s possession during a search. He has been taken into custody. The investigation is ongoing.
