RAI commissioned by StockWatch conducted a telephone survey to find out which organizations and public institutions Cypriots trust most – and least – of all. It turned out that respondents give the highest credit to universities, and the lowest – to political parties and Parliament.
Researchers interviewed 600 residents of the country in the period from 11 to 18 January. According to the survey the first two lines of the resulting rating took universities – the University of Cyprus and TEPAK (respectively – 7.8 and 6.7 points out of 10 possible). The third line is occupied by the Auditor General’s Office (6.4 points), the fourth – by army (6.2), the fifth – by local authorities (5.9).
The lowest level of confidence is recorded in political parties (2.5 points) and Parliament (3.5). Also below average Cypriots trust the government (3.7), the Ministry of Finance (4.6), the Central Bank and the Church (4.9 each).
