Paphos police received a report from a 28-year-old local man who complained that he had been the victim of a robbery committed by two women, reports CNA.
The suspected female citizens were soon detained. However, later the victim contacted one of them and offered to change his testimony in favor of her in exchange for a certain amount of money.
The 49-year-old investigator immediately reported to law enforcement officials about such a tempting, but illegal offer. After that, the blackmailer was also detained. The investigation continues.
