In Nicosia, the tragic death of a plumber in the line of duty is being investigated
There was an industrial accident in Nicosia the day before – a 66-year-old man who was carrying out plumbing work in a house in Strovolos.
The plumber climbed to the height of the second floor on a metal ladder and was repairing a solar water heater – but at some point, for reasons that remain unclear, he lost his balance and crashed to his death. An autopsy showed that he had suffered a severe head injury and serious damage to his spine.
Now the competent authorities are trying to figure out what exactly caused the man to fall from a height.
