Cyprus GESY’s new section for vaccination against COVID-19 began operating today, CNA reports, citing the Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy.
Also today, the first phase of the vaccination of the population against coronavirus was completed in the country – residents and staff of nursing homes and health workers who come in contact with infected people were vaccinated.
Now the second group of people over the age of 80 begins enrolling in the system.
Older Cypriots can exercise their right to receive the vaccine on their own or with the help of their relatives or personal doctor. Vaccinations are available at 38 primary health care centers throughout the country during opening hours: from 6:00 to 19:00. The Ministry of Health recommends immediately making an appointment for a second vaccination (vaccination against coronavirus is biphasic).
Recall, according to the plans of the Cypriot authorities in the first half of the year should be vaccinated 50% of the population.
