A teenager in Nicosia was detained for driving his own mother
Last weekend, on Heroes Avenue in the village of Engomi (Nicosia), the police stopped a car driven by a 14-year-old boy.
The situation was different from the standard one, when teenagers steal their parents’ cars – only recently in Larnaca, three such teenagers had an accident on an empty street and fled the scene, leaving the car. However, this time the young man was driving with the knowledge and consent of his mother, who he was driving.
Instead of their destination, they both had to go to the police to testify and answer for traffic violations.
